It is the most important centre of the northern Baronia and stands in a plain, down the north-eastern part of the little chain of Mount Albo. Mountains, hills, plains lined by wonderful pinewoods, white sandy beaches, rocks washed by a pure sea make the territory of Siniscola a natural area of great interest. There are a lot of reasons to enjoy this place: to go along mountain paths, to dive in the turquoise sea, cheerful people who can knead cheese and ceramic. The country and its territory. From the landscape and speleological viewpoint Siniscola has a very interesting territory: from the Mount Albo to the beaches of Berchida, La Caletta and Capo Comino. The centre of the village still keeps the original house structures of the ancient time and the signs of its agropastoral origins. From the Mount Albo to the hill zone, among the cultivations, vineyards and the flora of the Mediterranean maquis, there are both agricoltural farm and holiday farms that prove the wide presence of the man. The more important turistical vocation of Siniscola comes from the sea: from the village, going through main streets towards the eastern zone, there are a lot of little streets that goes to the beaches. From La Caletta, a seaside resort with an equipped Marina and several turistic services, it is possible to reach Santa Lucia, a little village of fishermen, and the white sandy beach of Berchida and the rocks and dunes of Capo Comino, the only ones of the eastern cost. ENVIRONMENT. In Siniscola the mountain landscapes perfect integrates with that of the beaches. It is possible to admire a hard and wild environment: in Mount Albo the phenomenon of karstification has created many fractures and tunnels. There are a lot of caves, that are very important from the speleological and archaeological viewpoint because they were inhabitated by men during the Prehistoric Age. There is a very various forest too, with the typical Mediterranean plants, such as juniper, phillyrea, lentisk and oleaster, while climbing till 800 m it is possible to find the durmast oak and the acer. The mountains are inhabitated by wild boars, foxes and pine marten and are nidificated by golden eagle, peregrine falcon, goshawk, buzzard and kestrel. Mount Albo is accessible by paths suitable for both rambling and mountainbiking and it offers wonderful sceneries to the beaches.
